“If Ombak captures the essence of the ocean, then Perle captures the soul of Penang — an island filled with history, flavour, culture, and life.

Penang has always fascinated me because it engages every sense at once. The scent of spices and street food drifting through the air, the tropical heat against the skin, the sea breeze moving through old streets, the colours, textures, and rhythms of everyday life — it all feels deeply layered and unforgettable.

I wanted Perle to reflect that richness through fragrance. The opening is bright and energetic, filled with citrus, ginger, lemongrass, cucumber, and green tea that immediately evoke freshness under the tropical sun. As it develops, aromatic herbs, florals, spice, and warm woods create a more intricate and textured composition.

To me, Perle is the feeling of wandering through Penang on a warm afternoon — vibrant, alive, slightly nostalgic, and endlessly inspiring.

It is a celebration of the island’s spirit, its people, and the beautiful complexity that makes it truly unforgettable.”
